Thank you for your continued support for the Hongkong Post service.
From July 1 onwards, senders must submit an electronic customs declaration for sending mail containing goods to Korea.
The above requirement has already been put into effect for the posting of mail containing goods to The Mainland, the 27 member states of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland and Brazil. The customs information required is the same as that currently provided in the paper declaration forms, which includes:
Hongkong Post has made available various channels, including online platforms (Easy PreCustoms, Post Now, EC-Ship and My Speedpost), the Hongkong Post mobile app and the Easy PreCustoms kiosk or tablet in all post offices, for senders to submit an electronic customs declaration.
As reminded by Korea Post, all categories of mail containing goods that do not come with electronic customs information may not be processed and may be returned. Hongkong Post would also return such mail to senders if it is found. Senders should provide a return address on the mail items. Items returned without a return address will be destroyed. Postage will not be refunded for return or disposal as a result of such circumstances.
In using the pick-up service, please make sure electronic customs information has been provided for any Speedpost item containing goods. Before picking up the item, the postman may request for proof of electronic customs information submission.
