PostalPlus for SME
With the rise of e-commerce sellers, intensified competition and the advent of new technologies, Hong Kong’s e-commerce model is continuously evolving. Now, Hong Kong enterprises have to come to grips with the fact that numerous e-commerce platforms have been established in Hong Kong. The summit, hosted by Hongkong Post, gathered over a hundred SME partners and e-commerce customers. Dr Mark Lee, Research Director of the Asia Pacific Institute for Strategy (APIFS), was invited to analyse the global economic trends for 2025. A number of key speakers also discussed the opportunities for e-commerce business expansion in the new year, and exchanged views enthusiastically with participants.
With the support of the industry, Hongkong Post is well-prepared to explore different logistics solutions to enhance the e-commerce business and provide more convenient and competitive services through innovative thinking. We will continue to work together and lead the way in e-commerce.

As the major postal and logistics service provider in Hong Kong, Hongkong Post always actively engages in and supports the development of local and cross-border e-commerce. It continuously expands its business scope to provide value-added services to customers. The seminar introduced Hongkong Post’s latest local and non-local services, its publicity channels as well as the “China Post Hong Kong & Hongkong Post Joint Douyin Account” to the participants, with a view to assisting SMEs in business development.

In the evolving global environment, supply chains are confronted with different challenges and demands. The Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference, co organised by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council on 18 and 19 November 2024, brought together stakeholders along the supply chain to exchange market intelligence and explore global business opportunities.
Hongkong Post’s e-Commerce Solutions Division attended the conference and set up a booth at the exhibition area, providing SMEs with comprehensive e-commerce solutions, as well as flexible and effective local and international logistics solutions. Hongkong Post will continue to actively participate in various exhibitions and conferences and connect with SMEs to develop new business together.

To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China with members of the public, Hongkong Post specially launched the “Stamps that Tell Stories” exhibition themed on the National Day at the Postal Gallery from August to November 2024. The exhibition covered four themes, namely (i) “Return of Hong Kong to the Motherland”; (ii) “Achievements of the Country”; (iii) “Development of Hong Kong”; and (iv) “Serving the Community”
Hongkong Post organised a guided tour for members of PostalPlus for SME on 28 September 2024 with a view to enhancing their understanding of the developments of our country and Hong Kong through stamps. Participants also visited the modernised postal facilities at the Central Mail Centre nearby to have a a glimpse of our postal operations.

Hongkong Post successfully held its first “E-Commerce Business Development Conference” on 16 August 2024, bringing together industry representatives to explore import and export e-commerce business.
The conference attracted over 150 industry partners, e-commerce platforms and merchants, and received an overwhelming response with a full house.

Hongkong Post took the opportunity to exchange views with industry partners, logistics platforms and e-commerce companies on the development of e-commerce. The conference not only facilitated the networking among industry players, but also the discussion on one-stop cross-border logistics solutions. It also provided a platform for e-commerce companies to work closely with Hongkong Post to grasp the market pulse, tapping into business opportunities arising from the emerging markets along the Belt and Road and in the Middle East, and exploring trade cooperation!

Two super-popular influencers from “China Post Hong Kong & Hongkong Post Joint Douyin Account” also took photos with participants in the venue, and shared their experiences on livestream shopping on Douyin, which is a new business opportunity for promoting products from Hong Kong brands to the Mainland customers.

After the conference, a guided tour of the Postal Gallery was arranged, which allowed the participants to take a closer look at diverse exquisite stamps and reminisce the postal history of Hong Kong.

Hongkong Post offers various advertising channels to SMEs, including Hongkong Post Circular Service and putting up advertisements on the external walls of post offices and second pouch boxes. Apart from local channels, we have partnered with China Post Hong Kong to launch an official Douyin account to promote Hong Kong brands to the Mainland customers on Douyin platform.
To help SMEs expand their online business, our local mail service “EC-GET” allows senders to pick up mail items at any of the 470 7-Eleven Convenience Stores, as well as around 280 post offices or iPostal Stations. This service is convenient and flexible, and caters for the needs of different customers. In terms of non-local delivery service, “e‑Express” provides essential online tracking information of the items at a reasonable price. In addition, “Speedpost” is a premium delivery solution for higher value products, giving customers peace of mind.

Hongkong Post keeps on expanding the network of automated posting services “iPostal Stations” and “iPostal Kiosks”. With more than 150 “iPostal Stations” across the territory, customers can pick up their mail at any time and “iPostal Station” of their choice. “iPostal Kiosks” are available in all 18 districts of Hong Kong to facilitate customers to check postage rates, purchase postage labels and post mail, providing a round-the-clock posting service.
To meet the needs of our customers, Hongkong Post offers simple and cost-effective local mailing services with flexible mailing and collection options to help SMEs expand their online business, which are well received by the industry. In terms of non-local delivery service, “e-Express” provides essential online tracking information of the items at a reasonable price. “Speedpost”, being fast and reliable, is suitable for sending higher-value products, giving customers peace of mind.
With the arrival of the new era of e-Customs clearance, Hongkong Post offers different platforms, including an online platform, a mobile app and self-service stations/tablets at post offices, for SME customers to submit electronic customs information and prepare posting forms/labels in advance easily in order to shorten the waiting time at post offices.
